 AlAghsan Foundation is a national local NGO, independent non-profit, specialized with agricultural and environmental development, established in 2017 with 12 coordinators in 12 governorates (11 employees and more than 1000 volunteers). It has an international advisory committee of more than 20 professors (4 of them already from Mosul governorate), 20 academicians and more than 50 researchers working on capacity building in agricultural and environment fields, AlAghsan seeks to be the leading development in Iraq for the field of agriculture.
With all given scientific knowledge from members AlAghsan succeed till now to build a very good relations with local authorities, ministry of Agriculture, ministry of environment, ministry of displacement and immigration and other governmental offices noting that all ministries provided a certified letter for the joint implemented activities.
AlAghsan agreed vision for all members is as below:
1. Provide agricultural specialists with scientific and practical expertise to promote agricultural reality.
2. Contribute to raising the standard of living of individuals and communities through their rehabilitation to build small, medium and large agricultural projects.
3. Utilization of modern agricultural technology and agricultural development programs and various applications in the public and private sector.
4. Contribute effectively to improve the environment through waste recycling by new investment technology.
Partners from international organizations are:
- FAO, United Nation Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, Iksad.
CURRENTLY INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS:
Enhancing Livelihood and Food Security Situation in Ninawa: Including Wells drilling, Greenhouse, Farmers & women training, and social cohesion activities.
