People in Need (PIN) is a non-governmental, non-profit making, international organization with headquarters in Prague, Czech Republic. Over the past 27 years, PIN has managed projects in 55 countries, providing relief aid and development assistance, implementing social integration programs, and increasing public awareness on global development issues. PIN currently provides assistance in 15 countries with over 700 staff worldwide.

 

 

PIN has been working in Syria since 2012. PIN currently provides multi-sectoral assistance across Food Security and Livelihoods, WASH, Education, and Capacity Building sectors. Activities are coordinated from neighboring countries and performed in cooperation with PIN’s team and local partners in Syria. Mission has a wide portfolio of donors consisting of foreign governments, EU institutions, UN agencies, the Czech Republic state budget as well as individual donors. Finance team’s primary role is to ensure an efficient use of funds, completeness and correctness of accounting records, overall accountability and transparency in relation to all stakeholders.

 

People in Need is looking for a self-motivated and experienced Cash Flow Officer.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Field Money Request consolidation.

  • Preparation of weekly payment plan and cash flow.

  • Daily coordination of payments with intermediate partners and PIN teams in the field.

  • Ensure that the cash distributions are conducted in line with PIN’s Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Ensure completeness and quality of supporting documentation in line with PIN’s quality standards.

  • Follow-up on documents in the approval process from start to an end.

  • Prepare a table of transfer fees calculation.

  • Keep records of all payments and transactions related to the payments in the field via intermediate partner.

  • Track balances of relevant accounts.

  • Support the field and the intermediate partner in the terms of communication and coordination.

  • Report on weekly basis relevant activities performance and up to date financial commitments.

 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

 

  • Good Knowledge of MS office (Excel, Word).

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Teamwork oriented approach.

  • Languages: English and Arabic.

  • Flexibility to work outside of working hours when necessary.

  • University Degree in related field (Business administration, Economics).

  • Experience of 2 years working with NGO or commercial sector.
