
Main tasks and responsibilities:
1-Supervise and perform case management with case workers in their assigned location, including:
o Assigning cases to Case Workers in accordance with their experience, skills and capacity, and considering issues of age, gender, culture and identity;
o Supporting individual cases where required and provide regular monitoring of all aspects of case management services;
o Facilitating case conferences and peer to peer support groups for caseworkers;
o Scheduling and supervise regular case supervision meetings to provide technical and psychosocial support to caseworkers;
o Checking files for content, signed case management plan and closure forms
o Creating a schedule of home visits, reflecting the priority of each case;
o Reviewing staff caseloads to ensure they are manageable and adjusting as needed, to ensure equal and effective distribution of work - all in coordination with, and under the Child Protection Coordinator;
o Monitoring case management and progress of cases including Child Protection Information Management Systems (where CPIMS is used.) for all staff under supervision;
o Setting and monitoring standards for case management processes (e.g. timescales for response and follow up, eligibility for material support) and adherence to the KRI Case Management SOPs;
o Reviewing and analyzing caseload trends to inform programming;
2- Updating the internal case management database in work locations in coordination with Case Workers;
3- Assisting in the management of CP Child needs assessments and mappings;
4- Prior to going on leave, providing a thorough handover to the other CP National Officer, in presence of the CP Coordinator, to ensure continuous and prioritized case management;
5- Evaluating case files and performance of Case Workers, using the “Case Workers Performance Evaluation Form”;
6- Providing inputs for the issuance of warning letters, upon request from the CP Coordinator;
7- Recruiting Case Workers: reviews and screens CVs; develops, administers and grades written exams; sits on the interview panel for their project area and selects qualified candidates – all in coordination with the CP Coordinator;
8-Assisting Project Mangers in the management of the human resources of the CPUs (Child Protection Units) and CFS (Child-Friendly Spaces); monitoring their performance, offering guidance and on-the-job training; providing capacity building on CP;
9- Providing CP-related trainings, in coordination with CP Coordinator;
10- Keeping the Child Protection Coordinator up-to-date on trends, achieved results, planned activities, problems met by the Case Workers during their field work;
University degree in human/social sciences ,Social Work, Psychology, Law
- Minimum 1 year of experience with child protection case management
- Trained in case management, protection assessments and GBV
- Ability to use MS Excel
Languages:
Excellent command of Arabic is required.
Working knowledge of English is an advantage
