Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) designing and implementing emergency, post-emergency and development programs since 1994. The programs fall within the fields of water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH), civil engineering (Shelter), food security, rural development (Livelihood), socio-educational and psychosocial support (Protection). In 2017, its committed teams operate in 11 countries in Asia, Africa and Middle-East Region and manage 68 programs.

TGH is working in KR-I since June 2013, mainly providing socio-educational and psychosocial services to Syrian refugees and IDPs.

 

JOB OBJECTIVE :

The over all objective of the Deputy is to ensure, under the responsibility of the Project Manager, the implementation of the Project. 

JOB FONCTIONS:

Under the supervision of the Project manager, the deputy PM Will be responsible to:

 

Responsibility 1:  Implements and monitors of the project

 

Task 1 - Participate with the PM in drawing up the action plan, including setting the objective, and activity timetable in order to achieve the project results and follow up.

Task 2 - Prepare with the PM weekly work plans and follow up on the progress

Task 3 - Ensuring the quality of the project through reporting follow up, results and context monitoring, lessons learned and knowledge management, tools development and trainings with the PM and Supervisors/ PMA.

Task 4 - Together with the PM, set objectives, specific and general indicators in order to assess and monitor the impact of the project and to reshape them if necessary.

Task 5 - Work closely with Project Manager to monitor the project indicators on a regular basis.

Task 6 - Participate in internal meetings with PM, PMA and Supervisor.

Task 7 - Supervise the implementation of child protection activities in different locations of the project.

Task 8 - Ensure that the monitoring and evaluation tools are used properly by the teams, and organize training if needed

Task 9 - If needed, develop new monitoring and evaluation tools and reporting templates for protection activities with the support of the PM and Program coordinator.

Task 10 - Identify and share with the PM any technical problems faced, potential risks and proposed solutions.

Task 11 - Replace the PM when absent with the clear instruction and delegation by PM

 

 

Responsibility 2: Management of the program team at field level

 

Task 1 - Supervise and follow the teams according to the daily / weekly tasks and staff planning.

Task 2 - Work closely with the Program coordinator to provide trainings, on-job recommendation and capacity building sessions to the team.

Task 3 - Organize regular meetings with team leaders and field staff.

Task 5 - Ensure that all staff respect confidentiality, security rules and follow TGH ethical guidelines and TGH code of conduct.

Task 6 - Provide technical support to the teams in collaboration with the technical support team.

Task 7 - Ensure the organization of conducting performance evaluations of the staff (with the PM) and support them to set objectives.

Task 8 – Ensure the team well-being.

 

 

Responsibility 3: Follow-up and capacity building of the team and supervisors

 

Task 1 - Organize regular meetings with the team and identify needs in capacity building.

Task 2 – Make sure that the information needed is shared on due time (Activity reports, minutes of the meetings and data on beneficiaries/activities…).

 

 

Responsibility 4: Logistic and Administrative needs

 

Task 1 - Work closely with the PM to make sure that logistical, administrative and financial procedures linked to programme implementation are followed. Alert the PM if gaps are observed to take corrective actions.

Task 2 – Follow up and ensure that all administrative documents of all staff members are handed over on due time. 

Task 3 - Collect weekly the logistic needs and prepare the PSRs when requested.

Task 4 – Participate in logistic plan: team needs, manage field expenses, inventories…etc

Task 5 - Ensure that the teams are regularly up to date with administrative requirements (leaves, …) in collaboration with the project manager.

Task 6 – Follow up the HR issues and report it directly to the PM and Admin department.

 

 

Responsibility 5: Reporting, planning and communication

 

Task 1 - Report on a daily basis to the PM.

Task 2- Collect data/reports from Team Leaders and filed staff.

Task 3 – Ensure the accuracy of data in coordination with Dataclerk and team.

Task 4 – Write activity reports including the CPO’s inputs and share it with the PM and CP unit.

Task 5- Participate, under the supervision of the PM, in writing the intermediate and final reports as well as new proposal for donors on child protection programs.

Task 6 - Participate in writing articles, taking pictures, creating communication tools for the donor or HQ.

Task 7 - Participate in meetings, working groups, clusters, Camp Management meeting as per required by the PM

Task 8 - Write the minutes of meetings when needed

Task 9 – Maintain regular contact with local authorities

 

 

Responsibility 6: Translation

 

Task 1 - Provide translation, oral and written in Arabic and English as per required

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

·         At least two years’ experience in a management position with NGO.

·         Proven experience of working in Child protection and/or education emergency programs, including Psychosocial Support and case management components.

·         Knowledge on Child Protection, Psycho Social Support (PSS), Psychosocial First Aid (PFA), Case Management (CM), Gender Based Violence (GBV) and others related topics.

·         Knowledge on official guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures for Child Protection Case Management (SOP) or other official guidelines and tools.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Solid programmatic, organizational planning and reporting skills.

·         Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (with focus on Excel and Word).

·         Very creative, active, positive and flexible.

·         High mobility required.

·         Strongly motivated by humanitarian work.

 
        Languages:
 Mandatory: Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, English.
