Description

Shareteah Humanitarian Organization (SHO) is an Iraqi National NGO promoting safety & development through mine action and explosive ordnance risk education (EORE)awareness, and clearance of mines, explosives, and remnants of war.to assistance for people affected by armed conflict. Founded in 2016, SHO has organized & executed programs throughout Iraq. including the provinces of Nineveh, Duhok, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Anbar, and Baghdad. It currently holds offices in Duhok and Mosul.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Education Facilitator responsible of providing the non-formal education activities and Protection Activities at the centers of SHARETEAH HUMANTERIAN ORGANIZATION and also implementation of education activities under direction of the Field Coordinator Supervise education activities and provide support teachers to them in line with program objectives Provide support to SHO activities, schools and facilitate key activities with children in line with SHO quality standards Education Facilitator will be responsible of the following up on the volunteers team and direct them according to the activities requirements

Reporting:

Education Facilitator will be reporting and/ close coordinate to Field Coordinator on Daily, Weekly, and monthly basis.

Role and Responsibilities: 

Education Facilitating: 50%

  • Ensure that programs are meeting the specific needs of students.
  • Providing the children with non-formal education and activities.
  • Supervise individual remedial education (home schooling or in public buildings)
  • Conduct school assessment.
  • Distribute self-learning materials.
  • Working all other education Activities including the Literacy Catch up class and girls out of School.
  • Alongside working with the Directory of Education and Schools to provide the support with teaching.
  • Make sure the Child friendly space is suitable for the children to use
  • Implement children's activities and engage in the international children/Education events.
  • Working on the CP/Education awareness
  • Provide CP teacher training and Parenting sessions.
  • Ensure that programs are meeting the specific needs of students.

Reporting 10%

  • Prepare and send the weekly report and monthly report in the timely manner.  
  • Submit referral forms to any other organization with unavailable services in SHO in conciliation with line manager.
  • Conduct surveys and monitoring evaluations when required in collaboration with the line manager.
  • Report any accident occur in the center to the line manager immediately.

Management 10%

  • Following up on the center requirements and needs and submit it to the line manager.
  • Managing and supervising the Volunteers and cleaner.
  • Make sure of a good learning environment for the children.
  • Undertake evaluation for their staff and provide feedback when its required.

Communication and Coordination 5%

  • Regulate communication and cooperation with beneficiary parents and schools administrations and teachers.
  • Participate in wider meetings and seminars as and when requested by The Line Manager.
  • Act and communicate in a professional manner with beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders.

Documentation 15%

  • Work on the Data forms of KOBO and submit it in the proper way in the timely manner. 
  • Working on the hard data monthly and ensure the accuracy.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the project data and activities.  
  • Ensure proper filing of documents of the data in hard and soft copies.
  • Doing all printing documenting office requirements

Other Responsibilities 10%

  • Observe the children during the outdoor activities.
  • Work towards achieving SHO’s organizational and programmed-level objectives.
  • Ensure familiarity with and adhere to all SHO policies and procedures.
  • Participate in SHO training activities as and when requested by the Project Manager.
  • contexts and within all local legal frameworks.
  • Undertake any unspecified duties appropriate to the post as may be required.
