Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH) is an international non-governmental organisation (NGO) designing and implementing emergency, post-emergency and development programs since 1994. The programs fall within the fields of water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH), civil engineering (Shelter), food security, rural development (Livelihood), socio-educational and psychosocial support (Protection). In 2017, its committed teams operate in 11 countries in Asia, Africa and Middle-East Region and manage 68 programs.


TGH is working in KR-I since June 2013, mainly providing socio-educational and psychosocial services to Syrian refugees and IDPs.


In Erbil Governorate, along with a national partner, TGH provides educational and psychosocial services to Syrian refugees and IDPs’ children, implementing activities in a Community Based Center in Daratu. Since November 2015, TGH is also implementing Cash for education project aiming at improving the school enrolment and attendance of Syrian refugees’ children out of camps in 8 cities of Erbil Governorate.


Since 2016, TGH is also implementing two projects in Bardarash area: a protection project, in coordination with other INGOs aiming at supporting IDPs living in Bardarash camp and a project involving Education and Protection mobile units to support IDPs living in Bardarash Sub-District.


The present project has been designed to respond to the Mosul Emergency and consists in setting up and deploying Mobile units to provide Emergency Education and Child Protection towards conflict-affected children in Ninewa and Erbil Governorates.



The employee engages himself to:

The overall objective of the Field Team Leaser is to ensure, under the responsibility of the supervision team, the implementation of activities related to children’s protection, within the frame of the project.



Responsibility 1: Ensure the good organization of the team and the communication between the field and the project management

Responsibility 2: Implement psychosocial and case management activities

Responsibility 3: Provide awareness and capacity building in child protection consistently with the community based approach

Responsibility 4: Reporting, planning and communication

Responsibility 5: Participate in the translation when needed




Responsibility 1: Ensure the good organization of the team and the communication between the field and the project management

Task 1 – Participate in the organization of the team in the field, follow the team’s weekly plan.

Task 2 – Organize regular meetings with Case workers, PSS facilitators and Community Mobilizers in order to raise difficulties or needs.

Task 3 – Ensure a good communication and coordination with partners in the field, particularly regarding the referrals.

Task 4 – Be the field focal point for Case Workers, PSS facilitators and Community Mobilizers: reports any challenges, difficulties, success stories to the PMA and/or Project Management Team.


Responsibility 2: Implement PSS and case management activities

Task 1 - Participate in the identification and selection of children at risk, according to standard vulnerability criterias.

Task 2 – Ensure the implementation and the monitoring of mobile PSS activities by the Case workers as well as the PSS activities in the PSS BUS.

Task 3 - Create and implement new adapted PSS activities in cooperation with the Facilitators/Community Mobilizers and the PSS Officer, in order to improve the children’s well being

Task 4 – Ensure that the Case workers are in regular with the CPO for urgent and challenging cases.

Task 5 – Ensure that all the staff have a good knowledge of the Case Management SOPs (Standard operational procedures) and if needed raise the needs for specific trainings.

Task 6- Follow up case management support cases, collect the invoices and hand it over to the PMA.

Task 7 - Be responsible of the data management of the cases, using the case management tools: documentation of cases, referrals, etc and of the archiving of the files regarding the cases followed.

Task 8 – Attends CCCM meetings or any other meetings with Camp Management, NGO partners when needed.


Responsibility 3: Implement Community Based Approach activities

Task 1 - Follow up on the needs in terms of awareness and be proactive in the definition of the awareness program (include Committees)

Task 2 - Organise awareness sessions and include the Committee members in the organization of the awareness sessions and campaigns.

Task 3 – Participate in capacity building of community based structures/public services (for instance: Child Protection Committee, Youth committee, Sector leaders, teachers, authorities, etc)

Task 4 – Ensure that the Committee members are meeting regularly and ensure the implementation of the Action Plan.  


Responsibility 4: Reporting, planning and communication

Task 1- Participate in weekly meetings regarding the activities of the project

Task 2- Collect the planning of the team and transmit to the direct line manager.

Task 3- Report to his/her supervision any development or change of circumstances regarding the context and actors

Task 4- Provide the daily report to the supervisor

Task 5- Update frequently the database with the dataclerk, or the Child Protection Officer


Responsibility 5: Translation

Provide translation, oral and written when needed.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Social worker and/or proven strongly experience on PSS and Case management
- Proven experience of working in capacity building.
- Proven experience of facilitating trainings
- Knowledge on Child Protection, Psycho Social Support (PSS), Psychosocial First Aid (PFA), Case Management (CM), Gender Based Violence (GBV) concepts and tools. .
- Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures for Child Protection Case Management (SOP) or other official guideline and tools.
- Experience in working with adolescents
- Good capacity to provide activities with active participation and stimulation.
- Experience in supervision of staff
- Good communication and social skills to establish relationships with different communities.
- Computer skills (MS Office).
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
- Very creative, active, positive and flexible.
- Strongly motivated by humanitarian work.
- Mandatory: Fluency in written and spoken Arabic. Knowledge of English is an asset
