Brief description of the organization


Al-Mesalla organization for Human Resources Development is a non-governmental organization established in 2004 registered in Baghdad and Erbil with headquarters located in Erbil. The organization is working at disseminating a culture of human rights and peace building in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. The organization is currently working along 3 programs: a non-violence and peace building program developing peace capacities within the community; a women and Gender program empowering women to take an active role in the community and a Human Rights Program which focuses especially on enhancing freedom of expression. Since June 2014, Al Mesalla developed services to the growing refugee and displaced community settling in the Kurdish Region of Iraq by participating to distributing emergency support and establishing empowerment and livelihoods programs for displaced women in particular.

Job Announcement: Trainer in Mainstreaming Gender Perspective

Al-Mesalla Organization for Human Resource Development is seeking a qualified and experienced trainer in mainstreaming gender perspective for municipal and agricultural fields. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing and conducting gender equality training and understanding the importance of creating equal opportunities in the workplace.

The proposed training topics include an introduction to mainstreaming gender perspective, gender analysis, gender-responsive planning and budgeting, and gender-sensitive monitoring and evaluation. The training will be held for two days on November 5-6 and aims to empower leaders and employees in municipal and agricultural departments to mainstream gender perspective and apply it in their activities and services.

The applicant is required to submit an initial presentation outlining the training program.

 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • Advanced degree in related.
  • Ability to lead a full training cycle.
  • 5 years of experience in related field.
  • The abilities you use to effectively manage and use information.
  • Arabic languages are required, English are plus.
  • Training must be provided in Arabic.
  • Relevant regional experience strongly preferred.
  • Extremely flexible and could cope with stressful situations and frustrations.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
