
Job Summary
Work in direct support of the Samaritan’s Purse (SP) Yazidi Project in Iraq, abiding by the SP code of conduct. The Security Guard will help evaluate & maintain security and safety for the YEP program, SP staff, and operating site. Protects all SP assets, property and people against vandalism, threat and incursion. Exhibit a generous and serving spirit while performing all duties and responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Maintain up to date information on political, economic and social status on a local level.
- Make the SPI Security team and the YEP leadership aware of observed changes to security status, information, needs, and concerns.
- Protect all SP assets, property and personnel from threat, incursion and vandalism.
- Maintain vigilance throughout the entire job shift.
- Walk the premises and consistently check on various locations where SP property rests.
- Monitor potential and present emergencies and inform YEP Leadership of events, as directed by the SPI Security Department.
- Report any suspicious activity or security incidents to the SPI Security Department and YEP leadership.
- Conduct routine patrols according to the YEP Security Guard Manual.
- Ensuring all incoming visitors and vehicles are checked according to the SPI Security Department instructions and protocols.
- Adhere to dress code set by SPI Security Department and YEP Leadership.
- Maintain a respectful and professional presence while following all security procedures.
- Adhere to the Security Guard Manual at all times while on duty.
Be reachable and available on short notice to report to duty station as needed

Education / Experience Needed
- Previous experience in a security position, preferably with a NGO
LANGUAGE
- Arabic and Kurdish are required. English is a plus
