The Shelter Project officer is in charge of Monitoring AAF shelter project in Nainava. 


  1. Ensure that data collected and accurate to be submitted to the Program Manager in a timely manner.
  2. Work closely with local external stakeholders in planning field visits.
  3. Ensure that communication with beneficiaries and community members is clear and respectful.
  4. Monitor the data collection related to beneficiaries, selection of households and the tracking assistance to beneficiaries.
  5. Monitor beneficiary feedback mechanisms at distribution sites, and ensure their smooth functioning during distributions.
  6. Regularly collate feedback and make recommendations to the Program Manager for follow up.
  7. Regularly reviewing the data and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  8. Supervise, monitor and consult the technical aspects during the implementation of the project.
  9. Participate in weekly project team meetings and other internal meetings as required. 
  10. The focal point in the project location.
  11. Submit weekly and monthly reporting of the project activities and the outputs to the Program Manager.
  12. Periodically review progress in implementation of proposed project activities, highlight areas of concern and make recommendations to the Program Manager to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness of project activities.
  13. Ensure data gathering is done according to the latest sector standards and results of lessons
  14. learned are integrated into the project. 
  15. Updating records of assessments and distributions.
  16. Ensure projects are implemented in line with donor proposals and requirements and standards.
  17. Any other reasonable duties as will be Required . 
Qualifications & Preferred Skills


  1. Understanding of a comprehensive approach in term of Civil Engineering.
  2. Good reporting and writing skills is required.
  3. Demonstrate effective communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to relate to the target group (be approachable and shows empathy).
  5. Ability to propose workable solutions and identify their implications (positive and negative) adapted to the psychosocial needs of beneficiaries.
  6. Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
  7. A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and humanitarian values.
